Custom Applicator

Reports to:

Site Manager

Required Education and Experience:

3+ years experience w/ agronomy operations

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED.  Basic understanding of units of measure.  Ounces, Pints, Quarts, etc.
• Ability to lift 75 pounds and complete other physically strenuous activities when needed.
• Ability to work in dust and adverse weather conditions and temperatures with the proper protective equipment.
• Ability and willingness to work long hours at times to meet business demands.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and random screenings once employed.

Essential Functions:

• Obtain/Maintain current North Dakota Commercial Applicators License
• Mix, load, and apply fertilizer and chemicals according to labels and applicable rules.
• Inspect and verify that application equipment is in good working order.
• Perform basic maintenance of equipment such as adjusting, greasing, and oil and filter changes.
• Perform housekeeping inside and outside all facilities as assigned.
• Complete safety reports and record keeping as assigned.
• Follow all company policies and procedures and attend safety training as required.
• Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek guidance to correct unsafe actions or conditions.
• Perform other duties as assigned and work extended hours as needed to meet seasonal needs.

This is a full-time position with benefits and acre incentives.  You will operate application equipment and assist with a variety of tasks in a professional manner and promote a positive image of yourself and the co-op.  You must have a pleasant attitude, be helpful, and be willing to work the hours required by the seasonal nature of our business.
